About Us

Driver Training Academy (DTA) is a subsidiary of ABC Transport PLC. It is the driver training and general training arm of ABC Transport Plc and it is accredited by Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and approved by both the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Industrial Trust Fund (ITF).

DTA was founded with a mission to 'prepare and produce' for Nigeria motoring environment, law abiding and safety-conscious drivers who appreciate the value of human life. It admits trainees from within ABC Transport and other organisations wishing to benefit from the comprehensive training packages approved by the Federal Road Safety Commission.

The school graduated its first set of trainees in 2004.

Driver Training Academy has been undaunted in its task of education and training the best drivers for the company and the general public. This has gone a long way to help reduce carnage on our major highways.

We provide well designed Defensive Driving Courses and special driving programmes for training and retraining of road users; giving positive direction toward achieving satisfactory safety on our roads and accident free performance of all operational tasks on our highways.

We are the foremost approved driving school in Nigeria

Since 1999, Driver Training Academy has been training drivers of different corporate organizations. We have secured approval from the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to implement over 1000 different in-house training programmes involving almost all the employees of the company. Our remarkable achievement has secured the approval of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) as the foremost approved driving school in Nigeria that trains both Coach and Tractor-Trailer drivers.

We work in collaboration with the Traffic and Safety Department

Over the years, DTA has been making concerted efforts to train newly recruited drivers and retraining the existing ones on defensive driving techniques as well as giving them the necessary orientation for safe operations on our major high ways. This routine and mandatory training exercise, carried out three times in a year is usually in collaboration with the Traffic and Safety Department.
